The American people elected a bunch of spineless defeatists in 2006. In the past few weeks Congress has attempted to eradicate our defenses and leave the American people vulnerable to destructive forces that endanger our lives and well-being. To make matters worse, these worthless bags of oxygen have held press conferences to applaud their actions…
First, Congress is trying to make the Commander-in-Chief set a timeline for withdrawing our troops from one front in the War on Terrorism. They are doing this by attaching the timeline to critical war funding bills. Setting a timeline for withdrawal says to our enemies…”We’re leaving on this date, just wait and take over then”. Read my last blog entry for my take on this.
Thanks to the steadfast leadership of our President in the War on Terror, Congress has backed down and is working on a bill that funds the troops but does not set a timeline for surrender. As Margaret Thatcher once said “Consensus is the absence of leadership”…. President George W. Bush does not stick his finger in the air to see which way the majority is blowing. He sticks to his beliefs and acts accordingly…. I do not agree with everything the President does, but on the War on Terror he is stalwart and spectacular.
Now a group of piss-poor Senators have worked on a comprehensive plan for destroying the very structure of our country. They have put together an immigration plan that excuses law-breaking, invalidates our current laws of entry into the country, and sets up the bankruptcy of our country.
The plan would excuse the 12 million plus who have cut line and entered this country illegally. It sets unrealistic requirements for these lawbreakers… Unrealistic because the requirements will never be enforced. The bureaucracy required for enforcement does not exist and if built will be massive.
We have laws that govern immigration. There are thousands of people waiting to come to our country legally. They are following our laws, an essential part of being an American. The lawbreakers that are residing here have ignored our laws by jumping line…. If this bill becomes law our country will be saying that our sovereignty does not matter, our laws do not matter, and those respecting our laws do not matter.
By granting amnesty to these lawbreakers we will be setting up the taxpayers of this country to shell out billions of dollars to provide welfare to the new insta-citizens. Again, the bureaucracy to handle the new bill (and provide welfare services) will be huge.
Thanks to the overwhelming response of the American people (from both sides of the political spectrum) the majority of Congress refuses to back this country destroying plan. This proves that the American populace is aware of congressional actions and will react to anti-American maneuvers. This blows apart the guiding principle of LibDems and Elite Republicans… They operate on the idea that the American people are a bunch of mindless sheep that have to be told what’s good and bad for them…. These are dangerous times for our country and we must stay vigilant in our defense of our nation.
