Congress Waves the White Flag

Thursday, April 26, 2007 the Congress of the United States of America surrendered to the forces of Terrorism. They have waved the white flag with our armies logging victories daily….

According to a recent Reuter’s Article Osama Bin Laden is alive and well, planning attacks in Afghanistan and Iraq. If this report is true, Old Binny is orchestrating an unprecedented defeat of the United States of America. Never before in the world’s history has war been raged as is the one in which we are engaged… Old Binny is using the modern warfare tactic of CNN Terrorism to defeat us… The purpose of terrorism is to weaken the resolve of a government or society to the point that they retreat or surrender. If we’ve learned nothing over the past two or three years it is that Americans are vulnerable to terrorism.

This vulnerability is not physical. There has not been a terrorist attack on our soil since September 11th. The vulnerability is mental and emotional. The Drive-By media and the LibDems, witting and unwitting terrorist allies, have bombarded the American people with news of doom and gloom. They have talked up Terrorist attacks while not mentioning American successes. When is the last time you saw a story on the big three and TeddyCNN about successful American military actions in the War on Terrorism? You might see one on Foxnews (if they can break away from wall to wall coverage of Anna Nicole Smith and other celebrity stories).

The Islamofacist murders understand American society. They know that LibDems are spineless wonders that abhor all things military. They know that the Drive-by media will only broadcast good news of American intervention if a Democrat is in the White House. They know that LibDems care more about regaining political power than victory in the War on Terrorism. They know that they only need maintain homicide bomber attacks in Iraq to fuel the flames of discontent in America.

In today’s world of instant internet access to news a much smaller force can defeat a larger one with the stories of their deeds. My generation and that of my parents have taken a once strong America and made her weak. We have PCed our country into a frivolous, weak-kneed republic of self-indulged do-nothings. I have said it before and I’ll say it again… World War II would have turned out much differently if the internet and cable TV had existed.

It is to us the enlightened, the patriotic, the lovers of real freedom and liberty to stay vigilant in defense of the Free World. We must continue to fight to win the War on Terrorism. America has the greatest fighting force in the world. Our all volunteer army could defeat any other on this planet given the resources and support. The American Military is not losing the War. If the Drive-Bys and the LibDems would support our War on Terrorism full force…If they would get behind the effort…. We would sweep to victory over the forces of radical Islam.

Evil Coverage and Long Time Impact of an Evil event

This week an evil nutcase opened fire on dozens of students and faculty at Virginia Tech. His rampage resulted in the deaths of thirty-three people and the injury of several more…. The psychological impact on the injured and witnesses will leave scars far deeper than can be imagined. I have two points I want to address about this evil event: The impact and the coverage.

The coverage of this event has been in some cases criminal. The obscene references to gun control issues and America & Charlton Heston’s responsibilities in this crisis are absurd. In the past two weeks we have seen outright assaults on the 1st and 2nd Amendments (thanks to Rush for pointing this out). My entry will not explore the Don Imus situation and the 1st Amendment assault; I will focus on the 2nd Amendment issues. Gun control laws would in no way have prevented this tragedy. If the evil person who committed these acts had not had a gun he could have used bombs, knives, etc. Two of the most vicious acts in American history were committed with gasoline & fertilizer and box cutters, respectively (thanks again Rush for the thought).

If someone in that classroom building had been armed they might very well have put a bullet between the crazy man’s eyes or at least held him at bay until he could have been stopped. Sean Hannity had John Lott, author of More Guns, Less Crime on his radio show yesterday. Mr. Lott told a few of the hundreds of stories he has accumulated in which the theme is an individual or individuals stopping crimes because they were armed. I’m not advocating that we all walk around with six-shooters in holsters but more guns do stop crime, not cause it. Had a good ole’ country boy (or girl) in that classroom building been armed, the rampage might well have been cut short. Unfortunately the political correctness and the “Rosie abusing Charlton Heston and Tom Selleck” mentality have made the baring of arms into a perceived criminal act.

The Drive-By media uses acts of violence and terror to further political agendas. They use school shootings to advance gun control and terrorist attacks in the emerging Iraq to advance anti-war sentiment. Again, they are obscene and nasty…. However, we on the right side of thought and ideas in this country will not deny their right to be obscene; we will exercise our right to free speech and point out their stupidity.

The impact of this event will ripple through the lives of the survivors and their families for years to come… The PTSD that will set up chronically will change the survivors in ways they cannot anticipate. They will have many ups and downs that will affect their work and personal lives. The crazy idiot that killed thirty-three people did much more damage that he may have realized. I will pray for the best recover for those who lived and peace for the families of those who died.

Vigilance

Let us never forget that our nation is built on vigilance. As Thomas Jefferson said “All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.” It is apathy and ignorance that destroys a free society. It is for free men to stay informed, to promote liberty and justice, and to stand firm for their beliefs.

I’ve kept my blog silent for quite some time…. I’ve had a number of other projects that have kept me busy, but more importantly I have had trouble forming words to accurately describe my feelings about the direction the LibDems are trying to take our country.

This blog has always been my outlet for expressing my love of America, my disgust over the cancer that is Liberalism, and my opinions on how current events affects this land that I love…. I will soon return to frequent entries because I cannot stay silent.
