Cut and Run has Begun!

Well it took less than a week! I thought maybe they’d wait until after they were sworn in as the pathetic majority in Congress. But no, it has begun….. Less than a week after winning through Republican voter apathy the cut and runners are calling for an official loss in the War on Terrorism.

As indicated in the NY Times, a publication you should only believe when the LibDems are in power, to LibDems are calling for redeployment and troop reductions in Iraq. They are even giving a time table for this withdrawal!

These people amaze me with their stupidity. Giving terrorists a timetable is like putting an ad in the paper to all would be thieves that read “Hey, we’re going to be on vacation on the following dates and the spare key in located under the welcome matt”. Do you think any robber paying attention is going to rob you short of the timetable? NO! They’ll wait and clean you out. If the LibDems have their way the violence will subside in Iraq for the next four to six months. The moment the majority of our troops are gone they will sweep to power by crippling an infant Iraqi government and military.

What goofball Americans who put these people in power have forgotten is the state of the conflict we are engaged in. There is no Iraqi War. Iraqi is in the middle of reconstruction following a major battle in the Global War on Terrorism. There are terrorist resistance fighters hidden in Iraq that have flocked to the country to face the U.S. were they are…. The resistance of these transplanted terrorists and Bathist leftovers are part of the larger War. The only way to defeat them is to remain resolute and strong. We must continue to support the growing democracy of Iraq. We must keep our presence strong.

As I said in Part II of my Aftermath postings we will reap what we have sown. If the LibDems have their way we will live in a country that runs from challenges, shrinks in the face of danger, and can be pushed around by a band of organized thugs. The LIbWorld is in ecstasy right now. They are on the brink of making America an inept, forgotten force. They wish to render America powerless in the world for all time. If the LibDems get their way, it could happen.

Aftermath: Part III

Well the further we get away from the Tuesday election the angrier I get. The reports coming in about impeachment talk and LibDem action plans sets the stage for the next two years. I’m angry because of why this happened to our country. While it is true that 6th year of Presidential terms trend to the opposition party, this should not have happened at this point of world history.

I’m angry that LibDems came out to the tune of 6 million more than Republicans. That means we had millions of sit on their hands, linguini-spined registered republicans who did not vote. I stood in line for an HOUR, some people for longer to vote (of course We did want to do my part to get rid of the current LFUCG control group). We did not even have a Republican option for Congress because the Republican Party in Kentucky is too afraid of Benny Chandler to put up a candidate. Consider the 16,000+ votes the Libertarian candidate for Congress received, I know I voted for him because I realized the insanity of a LibDem controlled Congress.

I’m angry that there are so many elected officials that promise Conservatism and deliver Liberalism. Republicans betrayed their electorate and looked more like the nutcases that are in control now than true banner carriers of Americanism. The only thing they stayed strong on was the War on Terrorism. Unfortunately, their Libaction in other matters caused an electorate, beat down by the “win at the cost of defeat” LibDem/Drive-Bys, did not take our safety and victory into account. The electorate stayed home and now America is in danger.

I’m angry that the electorate and the politicians did not rise to the challenges of our time. Those of us who understand what is going on in this world have been left powerless. We have been put in the penalty box, left hoping that the other team (aka the terrorists) do not score any goals during our absence.

I call on the Conservative leaders I hold dear to pick up the banner and lead. I call on the House Republicans to be loud and oppositional. Put up a fight for our values and block LibDem attempts to weaken our country. I call on potential Presidential Candidates to start the campaign NOW. Be loud in your criticism of the weak-kneed LibDems. There is a large group of conservative Americans looking for a leader. We can’t count on the President to lead anymore, despite how much we admire him. He will be tied up with investigations and lameduckness. We need strong leadership. Whoever steps up and is courageous by loudly sticking to conservative values can be the next President… Now who will it be?

Aftermath: Part II

I knew that I would have another perspective of the Republican defeat after to listening to Rush today. The Doctor of Democracy has an excellent point… Republicanism lost yesterday, Conservatism did not. In many cases LibDems that won did so as a Conservative. They ran on an agenda that promote many of the ideas we conservatives hold dear. Here in Lexington a big Government, socialist move to take over our water company was defeated. The defeat was a response to eminent domain, something we conservatives HATE.

I have said for quite some time that the Republican Party is worthless. It is a mere vehicle to put individuals in power that will in some way, maybe exemplify conservative values. It is to us the Patriotic, Loyal, lovers of the Constitution and its principles to stay vigilant. We must push for Conservative Leadership locally and nationally.

The next two years are going to be filled with dark times. Look for many of those in the President’s Administration to be destroyed. Donald Rumsfield, a brilliant man and good Secretary of Defense resigned today. He won’t be the last. The LibDems will go to any lengths to “avenge” the treatment they received during Clinton’s last two years of office. They will make the administration the whipping boy.

We must hope that strong Conservative leadership emerges in both houses and in the race for the Presidency. In the absence of this we will see America slide into the abyss with Europe. I don’t like the feeling I got from the President’s press conference. I hope that he stays strong on his core beliefs and fights for us.

May Liberty and American values prevail.

Aftermath: Part I

I don’t normally put a footnote on my blog entries, certainly not at the beginning. But before I begin I want to say that I respect our democratic system. We live in a land that elects representatives to govern. Those elected are done so though popular vote and should be respected as the representatives of the population. I don’t want to offend anyone though I think it will be unavoidable with the following comments. I simply hold very dear my beliefs in country, liberty, and survival. I believe that the outcome of Election 2007 have endangered the very things I hold dear. Please understand that as you read the following paragraphs.

Election 2007 is over. On the local front here in the Bluegrass victory was sweet and wonderful. We kicked the incumbent Mayor to the curb and defeated the forces of Big Government by saying NO to takeover of the Water Company. Lexington now has a wide open, paved road to advance our community and prepare for the World Equestrian Games. Standing in line for an hour yesterday morning to vote made me proud to be an American, despite the national outcome (which is grim).

It happened. Despite what I thought I knew about this country it happened. On Tuesday, November 7, 2006 America handed the terrorists a victory in the Global War on Terrorism. Consider the following excerpt from a recent article on WorldNetDaily.. The whole article is worth a read.

The terrorists told WorldNetDaily an electoral win for the Democrats would prove to them Americans are “tired.”They rejected statements from some prominent Democrats in the U.S. that a withdrawal from Iraq would end the insurgency, explaining an evacuation would prove resistance works and would compel jihadists to continue fighting until America is destroyed.

They said a withdrawal would also embolden their own terror groups to enhance “resistance” against Israel

What is Terrorism? The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as “the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person of organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.” The Global War on Terrorism is not just the stopping of roadside bombs and future 9/11’s, it is a war of ideas.

President Bush told America that the War would be long, difficult, and trying. He said we would not lose our resolve in this fight. That set a benchmark for the terrorists. In other words the terrorists were given a victory condition, break the will of the American people to fight… By putting in power the party that does not have the vision or fortitude for the fight, the terrorists meet a victory condition.

This is not sour grapes folks, this is real. Tom Delay told Fox and Friends this morning that the LibDems did not win, the Republicans lost. He cited overspending and squandered opportunities as reasons. He said that voters were sending Republicans a message about deficits, etc. Not normally one to disagree with the wisdom of someone like Tom Delay, but I beg to differ… The Drive-Bys and the LibDems have spent months verbally sabotaging the Global War on Terror. The Drive-Bys did this through always reporting the bad, never the good. The LibDems did this by constantly criticizing the President and the war effort. Their thirst for power and dominance at home has come at a high price.

It is true that Republicans have squandered opportunities. The lack of consistent, conservative leadership has seen spending go out of control; weak attempts to control illegal immigration to dominant; and progression on true American ideals to never materialize. Despite this we are in a period of unprecedented economic growth. Unemployment is at an all-time low, gas prices have leveled off, the Stock Market is skyrocketing. These are not conditions by which the party in power loses.

Unfortunately we will reap what we have sown. In addition to tax increases through the expiration of the President’s tax cuts and the slump in the economy that will result from business damaging acts like minimum wage increases (not to mention tax hikes). We will suffer another loss to our image and power in the world through retreat.

The LibDem America is one that mirrors the Lib Europe. We are on a road of appeasement, withdrawal, and mediocrity. Following the Black Hawk Down incident during Clinton’s Presidency, Osama Bin Laden stated in an interview that he knew America could be defeated by the use of terror. He realized that all it took to defeat America was splash enough acts of violence and terror across our TV screens and we’d cower and run. When the LibDems set a timetable for Iraq withdrawal, when they begin impeachment proceedings against the President, when they cut funding to the military, we will be running.

Those of us left in this country that understand what a Global War on Terror means must pray that the damage done to our country is reversible. We must pray that while the LibDems are wreaking havoc on the institutions of this country and paying back those who have “wronged” them that the Jihad does not regain its former strength. We must pray that while the LibDems are involved in grid locking the President that America is not deadlocked by terrorists.

Again, this is not sour grapes… I DO NOT BELIEVE that the elected Democratic Leadership wants Americans to die. I DO NOT BELIEVE that they wish America to be defeated in any war. What I do believe is that they don’t have the vision and wisdom to understand the state of the world. To LibDems, their action groups, and their radical interest groups victory is being liked by other countries. LibDems believe that terrorists can be appeased. They simply do not understand what must be done in this world to progress freedom and Liberty for all people. Peace comes through the defeat of enemies, not through concessions and sanctions.

I pray that I am wrong. I pray that the LibDems will see the Reconstruction of Iraq through. I pray that they will stay with the Bush Doctrine and see the firm establishment of Democracy in the greater Middle East. I pray that they allow the President to keep fighting evil in our time. I pray that they make permanent his tax cuts so that our economy can continue to prosper. I pray that they work hard to maintain our level of power and respect in the world.

We can’t be sure of what will happen. The LibDems have never given us a plan (except withdrawal). They have only said they would “do it” better and smarter, whatever that means. Only the Lord knows what our future holds.

God Bless and Help America.
