Happy Dependence Day

Well Rush stole my title.   I’ve been planning this rant for a few weeks and intended the title to be “Happy Dependence Day”.  I’ve stuck with it, simply because it’s so appropriate, even though Rush used it so well this week.

As I’ve said before, “Yes John Edwards, there are two Americas”.  There is the America that I love, whose independence we celebrate on today.  It is the one born of a thirst for freedom, of self-determination, of prosperity.  It is where anyone, ANYONE, can build their dreams, their fortune, and lay a foundation for their family’s future.  They can make choices, good or bad, about their direction, the key being that is the individual’s choice.  The person, the individual, decides which of God’s paths they will choose.  They are not encumbered with restriction, obstacles or regulations to their direction.  In my America, people choose from the choices God gives them and with his grace makes what they can of their life.

My America is a land whose government is limited.  It stays within its constitutional prescribed role of protecting liberty and providing for the common defense.  It stays out of the way of the individual, the entrepreneur, the family, the small business, etc.  It succeeds because its populace succeeds.  It is strong because its populace is strong. It is representative of its people, not directive of it.  It is limited in its reach and wide in its respect.

The other America is one where regulation reigns supreme.  It is where the individual is subject to the state and the success that matters is the collective.  It is where individual success is considered greed.  Where individual choice must be governed so it does not infringe on the sensitivity of others.  It is a land where the needs of the group far out way the needs of liberty.

In this America, government is the almighty.  It is the Supreme Being that must be feed with money and power, with corrupted politicians and suppressive law.  It is the nanny that changes your diapers.  The caretaker that chooses your food. The master that decides your fate.  It is truly the land of kept, home of the dependent.

Patrick Henry did not exclaim “Give me Liberty, or give me a welfare check”.  Unfortunately, this is the sentiment that governs our country today.  Politicians are elected by promising Government interference.  They win power by pitting special interests against American Exceptionalism.  They run huge deficits in the name of creating dependency from the populace.

The current crop of Americans who live in this America do not understand Liberty.  They do not understand the drive that would lead man to give everything for the hope of freedom. They will fight to suppress or even kill individuals rather than protect that individual’s right to believe or live.  It is amazing that a group of individuals, 233 years ago, banded together to sacrifice everything for each others freedom.  Now, citizens of the “Other America” band to gather to sacrifice nothing to stamp out freedoms.

It is time for a new birth of revolution in this country.  We must stand up for the ideas of freedom, prosperity, limited government, independence, and American Exceptionalism.  We are in danger of losing our America.  It is being slowly stripped away and replaced by that other America.  We must demand accountability from our representatives, understanding of what America is from her populace, and willingness from each other to fight for America.

To my fellow Americans I say “Happy Independence Day”.  To the citizens of the other America I say “Happy Dependence Day” and I pray this is the last time I must utter these words.

God Bless America and thank you for her!

America is dying

America is dead.  Or at least it will be very soon.  Now that the Socialist has become President, America will suffer a quick, cold death. 

 Here’s how it will happen.  First, Barry will build on the nationalistic moves of Bush 41 by using the current economic to increase government control over the populace.  A series of legislation will be past that will grow government more and more, increasing the dependence of the citizenry on the government. 

 Barry will then make moves to reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine.  This will silence Rush, Hannity, Levine, Beck, and all other conservative commentators on radio.  Yes, many will find refuge on Sirius/XM, with much smaller audiences. 

 With talk radio silenced Barry will then move to implement Universal Healthcare, and he’ll get it…. This will create the largest voter block of dependent folks…..ever.  LibDems will stay in control and America will cease to exist forever. 

 I’m not going to stand for this….. Are you?

Happy Inauguration Day????

On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama will be sworn in as out 44^th President.  Let’s be very clear about something… The only redeeming point of this incident in the historical nature of his race as it relates to the Presidency.  While the media is having multiple organisms and the major networks are using Obama Presidential campaign slogans to promote their shows, America is entering a period of great peril and danger. 

 For the first time in my life I do not feel safe as an American.  I have no confidence in the community organizer turned professional campaigner.  Obama is a socialist who wants nothing more than the complete and utter dependency of the American people on him and his government.  Obama cares nothing about the founding of this country.  If he did he would promote Conservative ideals and solutions to our current financial crisis.  He would understand that the free market and the freedom of the individual are paramount and that they alone are the solution to any problem our nations faces. 

 I will celebrate only one thing tomorrow.  The peaceful transfer of power is one the hallmarks of our democracy.  This and this alone will I celebrate….  There is nothing to celebrate in the accession to power of a socialist.  There is nothing to celebrate in the accession to power of a man who will put the power of government over the freedom and liberty of the citizenry.  There is nothing to celebrate in the accession to power of a man who has no experience, no understanding, and no concept of America. 

 As I have said many times God is in complete control of what happens to our country.  Barry Obama will be the President tomorrow..  I will show him the respect he deserves as a person elected to that position.  Past that he has no room for error.  I do hope for Obama the Presidency the media and many Americans thought President Bush had…..

 America is bigger than a person.  America is individual freedom and liberty that millions have died for…. I pray that Obama doesn’t screw it up to bad before a strong, conservative leader can take our country back in 2012.

Our Time to Fight is Now

We are week past one of the most interesting and painful elections in our nation’s history.  The result of election is historic and moving.  Our nation has progressed along its young road of development to a remarkable point.  Once vilified for its slavery plagued past, an African-American now waits in the wings to assume the presidency. 

 

Unfortunately, that is where the interest stops and the pain debuts.  The President-elect is socialist.  He has been recorded more than once discussing the need for government to spread wealth around.  Government does not have wealth.  It takes wealth from the successful.  Therefore, Barry thinks it a good idea to take from the successful in our country and spread their resources to the unsuccessful.  And no, he won’t ask first….

 

Socialism is defined by Dictionary.com as a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.  In other words, a central power, namely the government, controls what is produced and invested and divides it among it citizens according to its definition of fairness. 

 

Socialism takes the core values of Liberalism a step further.  The tenants of Liberalism espouse personal liberty and freedom.  The footnote to this flowery idea is that personal liberty and freedom are given to you by the government.  In essence, you are free and at liberty to do the things that are available to you through government provision.  It is through this lens that a political party and its blind followers have built political power.  The LibDems, as I call them, have built a power base through the development of dependency of its constituents.  It argues that the moral thing for a people to do is provide things to a portion of the populace through the taxation of another. 

 

As I said, socialism takes liberalism one step further… It builds on the dependency of the populace and enacts collective control of resources.  The money you make, the products you produce, the investments you hold are no longer your own… They are fair game for societal well-being.

 

This may be a very painful period in our nation’s history.  President Barry will push policies that penalize success, advances progressive and unconstitutional moral positions, neuters our military, and forever changes this thing that is America.  He will appoint liberal, policy-developing judges to the federal benches (including the Supreme Court).  He will silence the best vehicle of conservative voice, talk radio.  He will take more of the citizenry’s money and freedom that we can even imagine. 

 

America is built on the success of the individual.  It is a land built on the idea that if you are free of interference and constraints, given laws to protect life and liberty, you can be as successful as you want to be… America is successful through the combined individual successes of its citizens.  This success is measured in a robust economy, the individual wealth and stability of its citizens, and the innovation that America produces.. It is not measured in the amount of collected tax dollars or the number of social programs provided.

 

Traditional, true Americans have a unique opportunity in the aftermath of this election.  We will see on display, rampant liberal socialism like this country has not seen.  Our time to fight is now.  We must be vigilant and fast in our resistance to the possible upcoming destruction that is facing our country.  We must be politically active and demand American results.  Here in the Commonwealth, we must demand that the impotent Republican Party develop and promote strong, conservative candidates that can win elections.  On the Federal level we must be of a strong, clear voice that demands conservative principles and the preservation of our great Union.

 

I prayed to the Lord, our God to have his will in this election.  His will is for Barry to be President.  I dare not question his will or his plan.  I know that all things work together for good and that we, the believers will be safe in his hands.  I also know that we are expected to act and not sit idily.  I pray that if the Lord’s return is not imminent, that he works on the heart and mind of Barry to preserve America.  It is the last, best hope, the shining city on the hill.  Let’s hope the shine is still there when Barry leaves office in 2013.

The Case Against Obama, for McCain

In less than three weeks this country will change.  Both Presidential candidates, if elected, will shape this country in their image… John McCain will stand for the Conservative principles he likes and will lie down with LibDems when he likes what they are selling.  His ascension to the Oval Office will at least preserve the War on Terror and perhaps result in at least moderately conservative judicial appointments. 

 

Barry Obama is another story.  This unaccomplished Socialist will take this country down a path we might not recover from.  Rarely in American History will a man take office with the power that this LibDem will have…. Barry will sit atop the Oval throne with darn near super majorities in Congress.  His radicalism will be shoved down the throats of Americans and this country will cease to exist as we know it…

 

There are three main reasons not to vote for Barack Obama.  First, He’s utter lack of experience.  I did an audit of Presidents and their experience levels.  The only President that had a smaller collective set of experience was Zachary Taylor.  President Taylor was a career military man and was a hero in the War of 1812 and the Mexican-American War.  Barry’s experience includes community organization for ACORN, authorship of a couple of books, the State Senate of Illinois, and 150+ Days in the US Senate.  When confronted with recent suspicious activity in Iran it took Mr. Obama three tries to come to a position that rang true with the populace.  John McCain was quick and decisive in his response.

 

The second reason to vote NOBAMA is his radical associations.  This man, despite what the LibDem media wants to tell you, has had long term associations with radical people and radical groups.  His pastor is a radical racist that seems to preach anti-America views.  Barry’s political career started in the living room of Bill Ayers, an admitted terrorist who killed police officers and bombed federal buildings (including the capital).  He told youth to kill their parents and has been seen multiple times stomping on the American flag.  He selected Barry to chair the distribution of education funding the Ayers received as a grant.  The funding went to the promotion of radicalism in education. 

 

We have all had folks in our lives that were questionable… The difference is in how you handle these relationships.  Barry seems unable or unwilling to separate himself from these radicals… If John McCain was grilling buddies with the radical, homosexual hating pastor from Kansas, it would be the lead story and comment about him…. Judgment matters in the Presidency… Obama seems to sorely lack it….

 

The third and most obvious reason to vote NOBAMA is his socialistic views.  This country is sliding off the fence into a socialist abyss.  The recent reaction to the economic crisis (by Congress and the Bush Administration) reeks of nationalism.  America seems comfortable with this direction.   This is a Marxist-lover’s dream.  Barry recently told a small business owner who asked about Obama’s tax policies in relation to the business owners success that the business man’s success was admirable, but wealth needs to be distributed fairly. 

 

This man will destroy America.  America is a country built on individual determination  and success.  It is built on the idea that you can make as little or as much of yourself as you can… Barry will nationalize healthcare, nationalize business, redistribute wealth, tax us into economic ruin, and run from terrorists.  His is a Liberal, and as I have said many times before, Liberalism is the cancer that will destroy this country.  Barack Obama is the latest symptom of this serious disease. 

 

The reasons are clear to vote for John McCain.  He is a war hero that has stood strong for his beliefs.  He is someone that loves this country and puts it above his political beliefs and party.  I am no big fan of the Senator…. I would have preferred Thompson, Allen, or Romney.  However, when confronted with the inexperience, lack of judgment, and socialism of Obama, the choice is clear. 

 

In the end this election is in God’s hands.  He knows the outcome and the future and I trust him with the results.  I do pray that if Barry is elected his four year term will yield a great result like Jimmy Carter.  Carter gave us the greatest President, Ronald Reagan.  Barry is more radical, more inexperienced, and more woeful that JimmyC… Imagine what our bright stars like Sarah Palin, Rep. Mike Pence, and Governor Bobby Jindal can do with the opportunity.

I typically delete email forwards.  They are generally things I’ve read a hundred times and I don’t believe I will die or lose a million dollars if I refrain…  However, their are certian folks and certain emails that I pay attention to… This is one and whether it is truly written by Jay Leno or not, it is worth a read.  I have pasted it exactly as forwarded….

As most of you know I am not a President Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans, and it seems to hit the mark.

 The other day I was reading Newsweek magazine and came across some Poll data I found rather hard to believe. It must be true given the source, right?  The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction the country is headed and 69 percent of the country is unhappy with the performance of the President.  In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain’t happy and want a change. So being the knuckle dragger I am, I started thinking, ‘What are we so unhappy about?’

 A. Is it that we have electricity and running water 24 hours a day, 7 Days a week?

 B. Is our unhappiness the result of having air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter?

 C. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these unhappy folks have a job?

 D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a grocery store at any time  and see more food in moments than Darfur has seen in the last year?

 E. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move  through each state?

 F. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?

 G. I guess having thousands of restaurants with varying cuisine from  around the world is just not good enough either.

 H. Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you  to the hospital.

 I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent of Americans who own a home.

 J.. You may be upset with knowing that in the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of trained firefighters will appear in moments and use top notch equipment to extinguish the flames, thus saving you, your family, and your belongings.

 K. Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.

 L. This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods where 90% of teenagers own cell phones and computers.

 M.. How about the complete religious, social and political freedoms we enjoy that are the envy of everyone in the world?

 Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks unhappy.

 Fact is, we are th e largest group of ungrateful, spoiled brats the world has ever seen.  No wonder the world loves the U.S. , yet has a great disdain for its citizens.  They see us for what we are. The most blessed people in the world who do nothing but complain about what we don’t have, and what we hate about the country instead of thanking the good Lord we live here.

 I know, I know. What about the president who took us into war and has no plan to get us out?  The president who has a measly 31 percent approval rating? Is this the same president who guided the nation in the dark days after 9/11?  The president that cut taxes to bring an economy out of recession?  Could this be the same guy who has been called every name in the book for succeeding in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats safe from terrorist attacks?  The commander-in- chief of an all-volunteer army that is out there defending you and me?

 Did you hear how bad the President is on the news or talk show? Did this news affect you so much, make you so unhappy you couldn’t take a look around for yourself and see all the good things and be glad?  Think about it……are you upset at the President because he actually caused you personal pain OR is it because the ‘Media’ told you he was failing to kiss your sorry ungrateful behind every day. Make no mistake about it.

 The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have volunteered to serve, and in many cases may have died for your freedom.  There is currently no draft in this country. They didn’t have to go. They are able to refuse to go and end up with either a ‘ ‘general’ discharge, an ‘other than honorable’ discharge or, worst case scenario, a’dishonorable’ discharge after a few days in the brig.

 So why then the flat-out discontentment in the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

 Say what you want but I blame it on the media.  If it bleeds it leads and they specialize in bad news. Everybody will watch a car crash with blood and guts. How many will watch kids selling lemonade at the corner? The media knows this and media outlets are for-profit corporations.

 They offer what sells, and when criticized, try to defend their actions by ‘justifying’ them in one way or another. Just ask why they tried to allow a murderer like O.J. Simpson to write a book about how he didn’t kill his wife, but if he did he would have done it this way……Insane!

 Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use the New York Times for the bottom of your bird cage.  Then start being grateful for all we have as country.  There is exponentially more good than bad.  We are among the most blessed people on Earth and should thank God several times a day, or at least be thankful and appreciative.’ ‘With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, ‘Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?’

I’m embarrassing, You are too…

There can be little doubt what Barack Obama is….. The presumptive Democrat presidential candidate, otherwise know to lowly Americans as his Highness, Lord & Messiah Barack Obama, is a Liberal Elitist. 

 

The Liberal Elite are a group of Americans that include in their radical agenda a true distain, a true hate for America, its traditions, its history, and its people & culture.  They believe that America, as constituted, must be torn down and rebuilt in the vein of Socialistic Europe.  To some this belief is public and unapologetic… To others it is apparent in their actions and political donations.

 

And now we have an incompetent example from the Left’s Lord and Savior, their messiah… Obama.  In a speech a couple of days ago, The Most Merciful rattled on about the need for Americans to be bi-lingual.  At one point he stated…

 

“It’s embarrassing when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe and all we can say is merci beaucoup,”

 

The Most Merciful is stating his embarrassment over his fellow Americans!!!! The Democratic Presidential Candidate is embarrassed by the very citizens that he wants to elect him to the Chief Executive Office of the country!  Couple this with fact that he thinks middle America is bitter, intolerant of those who are unlike them, and therefore cling to their religion and guns. 

 

He is wildly out of touch with America.  He understands what it is from his perspective and he doesn’t like it…  And there are actually people who drive around with Obama stickers on their cars… That probably embarrasses BO to….

 

As I have said, America loses in this election no matter who is elected…. At least John McCain loves this country as it is…Well except for the Republican Party!
